It saddens me to read this simple thread.

I'm sitting back this evening & taking stock at the riders who populate this forum just for a minute or two. And I'm disappointed, truth be known.

I post up an innocuous report on my best ride to date, to share with you some magic out on the trail that I experienced on Saturday in the hope that you might enjoy what I experienced & just look at the diatribe that results from it.

I posted it up for your consideration and possible entertainment, since most of you ride bikes for the pleasure of the ride & thought you might possibly enjoy the ride through my words; sadly it's once again lead to quite the opposite.

Then I look at the bitterness, the genuine venom, the unreserved spite, the overwhelming negative thoughts and comments and it leads me to conclude that BikeMagic is not where I wish to spend any more of my time.

I will bid you farewell in this, my final posting & wish you all well in whatever ventures you may be embarking upon.

I'll take the Garmin with me and that way I'll know for sure what the distance was since 2hrs is simply too fast. More likely to be just under 3hrs?

Either I have mis-read the timings (I was having an absolute blast & was not concerned about the time!) or have strayed off the course at some point. There was only one diversion & that was well signed.

Whatever the case, I'll honour the charity contribution and post the timings up in 4 weeks time.

It's wholly academic.

No one said it does! It's what I know so I started from there and finished there too.

9hr for 82km in the Lakes BTW. "At the end of the day I'm not bothered"     Much!

I know 2/3 of the route. More than that, I can't say. After that I follow the signs.

If anyone else is about then, I'm happy to accommodate them.

If my watch was in deed wrong and I'm happy to accept that it does seem too quick, then £100 to charity seems fair.
