Try as I may I can't eliminate the play on my rear disc hub.  When tightened can't feel any play and as tight as I can get it without it feeling rough.  Drop it into the drop outs and all of a sudden movement.  I have re- greased and wheel is only just over 12 months old and no bearing wear, grease was in good nick.........any suggestions?

Just a quick shout out to the fantastic service experienced today at Pendle Bike racks.  It has rekindled my faith in British Engineering and supporting our own bike industry.  No quibble replacement of bike rack part.  Take a look at the new range very impressive.  If you have never owned a tow bar mounted rack I can highly recommend them.  As the saying goes form follows function and the racks do what they say on the side of the box.

I have a 2008 Spicy 516 and am very pleased with it.  Fortunately I picked it up before the considerable price hike.  Depends on your riding frequency and majority of terrain you ride.  Great for the rock gardens and bigger terrain, however my weekly rides do involve plenty of single track and road access and it climbs well.  It will accompany me to the Megavalanche in a weeks time so I expect I will find out its true capability.  Well specced but why it doesn't come with a bash guard and chain guide I don't know.  I guess on occasions I feel a little over gunned but then again the enjoyment when on the big open downhills it makes it worth it.

So I buy my super charger bash ring from e-thirteen, great.  Then I realise I really need a chain guide.  A nice DRS will set you back around £110 (super charger £30ish plus an unsubstantiated wad of money for a machined plate, so the Yorkshire in me thinks why can't I just buy the chain guide bit?

After what seemed to be an over arduous search i find you can buy a DS chain guide or "bring your own bash ring" kit from e-thirteen, unfortunately the chain guide looks like something that came out of a mecarno set.  Anybody had the same problem or managed to buy the original DRS chain guide on its own for less money than it costs to own a house?

I guess ever subject has its interested parties and those who can just pass it over.  I spend a lot of time in the area both winter and summer. I have found trying to track down good route information difficult in Austria.  Try searching and see what I mean.

So Jamie, if you can find out when the summer lift access starts running or officially accepting bikes (I have skied in mid May on the glacier so don't see a problem with lift timetable). I was up on the glacier over easter and it looks like that 2 meters of snow will take a bit to shift.  Even spotted two guys taking both wheeled and non wheel mountain bikes up onto the glacier.  maybe a bit of Mega practice? Secondly if the top station will be the Alpine Centre (2450m) or Langwald (1800m) I will be interested.

Anyway  suppose that is the purpose of the forum to pass information to those who are interested.
