JD and coke is a great drink, but hten JD shouldnt be confused with whiskey, its a Bourbon!

IMO Mixing a Bourbon with coke is about all its good for!

Personally I wouldnt waste a nice whiskey with a mixer, although I do enjoy adding a drop of cold water to release the flavour.
