| As a (medium to) short-arse, it's not a problem as an adult, but it hurt when I was a teenager. It's only when in the company of rugby types or city-boys that it's really obvious. Thye're not the sensitive types. |

| fwiw, I used to use BM a lot, but became pissed off by some of the juvenile stuff, so I rarely visit these days. It's a shame, cos a couple of years ago I enjoyed it. A lot of it's down to Pete, I'm afraid. |

There's lots of live music out there and small venues are best for atmosphere. I've seen Kubb & The Crimea over the last few weeks - but I get the best kick from support bands who can be amazing: thye've nothing to lose & no expectations to live up to. Crimea's support, People in Planes (from Porthcawl) are excellent.
What's great is how welcoming the indie kids are: Mrs Hattan is reguarly the oldest woman in the audience but doesn't feel out of place at all. |
