i've always found that the best place to start is lydeard hill car park. And like i said the one in holford (The Plough) served good food when i was there a couple of weekends ago
i think i have ridden that track into holford combe but only climbing out when i strayed from the bridleway...i'll have to go back and try it goind down one time.
what about that track that comes out on the left hander of the chimney? where does that start from? Is that the one that starts somewhere near quantock farm? give me GR again? thanks
apparently it drops into cockercombe from roughly about GR 185363 (from somewhere along the track referenced). i will be up there in the next week to find it .
what about this singletrack you were talking about? can you give me a grid reference for that? Sounds like quite a good one if it's that long.
