I use a 5 litre Hoselock garden sprayer and carry an old (re-filled) 5 litre mineral water bottle and that works well for me. I had to modify the nozzle to get a better flow but the pressure is certainly enough.

I've just switched to ODI lock-ons on both bikes

Rogues on the fully rigid for some degree of comfort and Ruffians on the full-susser for unbelieveable grip.

No more slippy grips or hairspray for me ;-)

Another vote for the 1.5 Nimbus EXs and only £24.99 a pair inc 2 narrow tubes from Wiggle. Pump them up to 70psi and you'll fly along!

If you're still worried about the cleats not releasing and you're using Shimano pedals try using the multi release-cleats to build your confidence. They have a wider release range than the standard ones supplied with the pedals.
