as for Mam Tor, the path heading west from Hollins Cross is a bridleway. Through the gate it splits: the more southerly path is a footpath up to the summit, and has been paved:  the more northerly is a bridleway through to Mam Nick, currently unpaved but likely to receive some maintenance work this year as it's suffering and there's a budget available to do it.
