I detect some sarcasm Mr Floss and demand a recount ... ok i'll admit to not getting your obvious joke about the Vanrental person, but are you implying that I should have got a different seatpost .. and if so which one would you have recommended !?

| because the next size up is a 27.2mm .. so yes that was a daft question. they sell them in two sizes relying on you to get the appropriate shim to make whichever one fit your frame. And just let eveyone know ... I used half a coke can thickness of shim as suggested by Martin (who now wins the top prize of a day away biking on his local trails) ... so it turns out the inside diameter of my seattube is 25.5mm .. and before anyone asks again .. NOOOOO it wouldn't just tighten up with alot of clampforce without a shim ... i dunno why but i tried and tried .. could be to do with the properties of Titanium or something like that .. answers on a postcard to ..... |

| Stephen it's a RockLobster Titanium frame and the seatpin that was perviously in was 25mm with a shim that i can only guess is about 0.3mm thick (upping the diameter to 25.6mm) The seatpin i've now got is an X-Lite Metal Matrix dia 25.4mm and therefore need a shim about 0.1mm thick to up the diameter to 25.6. If any of that helps i'll be a Dutchman. |
