Not being a disk braker myself, I can't see the need for a new frame.
A 1996 Kona Hot frame (hand-built in the USA from Reynolds 853 with a spangly paint job) went for £140 on eBay earlier today. Is £600 for a Blizzard really better value than that? |

| I like 7-speed better than 8 anyway, but even if you prefer 8 the dynamic advantages are minimal. Much better to spend funds on wheels, tyres, fork, brakes than waste it on drivetrain. |
