IMO - its the bearings themselves which is important
I've been running a raceface with bearings replaced by I think Sideways - not sure if they still do this - thay have lasted over two years of regualr riding - so perhaps worth getting a set replaced and see
Hi - I had a big fall two weeks ago and have a large (size of my hand) subcutaneous haemotoma just below my right hip.
Whilst the doctor said it would resolve in time, has anyone any experience of such an injury and any treatment I can do my self to help speed recovery as I don't fancy falling on it in its present state
I have been icing it and keeping active - but not biking!!
I am off to the physio on Thursday to see if they have any ideas
I have run a nobby on the front all winter and all summer - with a slah for winter and a Ralph for summer - there is no holy grail - but tbh the grip out of the fast rolling Schwalbes is impressive - even for the larger rider like me. The tyres last longer than cassettes so is just part of maintaining the bike!
If you want something a little less extreme I've used Vredstein S-Licks - a 1.3" slick with some tread (you know what I mean!) they last and last and roll v nicely - a real fav with our roadie cousins over at Cycling Plus Mag for some time
