The Spesh was an 07 model with 100mm travel.

 There is no doubt that my technique ain't that great - hence the attraction of a FS but also the attraction of the HT is to improve on my technique.

The long travel attraction is super plush forks that let me get away with wrong line choices that maybe a 100mm travel HT wouldn't?!?!

My riding takes in a bit of everything - it's a 6 mile road ride to the local woods - rooty, natural single track. But I also do 2 or 3 trail centres each year - be it in Wales or the scotland. But I am certainly no down hiller!

I just bought a road bike about 2 months ago - not sure i can justify buying 2 more bikes!

Was thinking Marin Rocky Ridge?!?! But still not ruled out a new FSR!

Some idiot stole my Spesh FSR XC Comp last week so I'm in the market for a new bike.

 I've been thinking long and hard about a long travel HT but not sure about the move back from FS to HT.

 Anyone gone from FS back to HT?

Just found today my Spesh FSR XC Comp has been stolen - no biggy you think - bikes get nicked every day.

Not quite so - despite the best lock money can buy due to a lack of space in the bike room I locked it through the rear triangle and locked my road bike to it through the forks. Got up this morning and all that is left is my bike lock untouched and my road bike with my mtb forks hanging from it.

 They have totally stripped the bike down to get it away and cherry picked bits from my road bike and my wifes bike.

 So word of warning to those living in flats -these guys must have been there over an hour stripping it down.

If anyone sees a Spesh FSR XC Comp, in the Aylesbury area, with forks other than recons - with lizard skin grips  and a rear shock crud catcher drop me a line!
