Oh, and i ride plenty thanks, i also work behind a computer which gives me ample time to 'blow off' in front of it. That still doesnt make you right.

Well you should be doing just that, working, not bumping your gums on bike magic.

Oh and one other point, perhaps you are forgetting that the NRS has a zero sag set up, the Trance, Reing do not, which would add to the supposed bobbing, which they do not. If they were sh**e I would be the first to admit it, as I actually do not like Giant as a company, or their business manor

My final note on the shbject is, remember what this threard is about, and its not about bobbing, is it?

See ya.

Maestro
Full range of bump compliance: A: From rapid-fire stutters to heavy "G-out" compression hits, Maestro remains fully active under all types of impacts.
Pedaling efficiency: A-: Only the slightest amount of pedaling feedback can be felt in the small chainring, making Maestro the most efficient pedaler on the trail.
Braking independence: A: Heavy braking has no influence on the suppleness of Maestro

All from the Giant Web Site, as I said Mr Smidge, does not bob.

Maybe you should get out and ride a bit more instead of blowing off in front of a computer.

See ya!!

Well I am a bike shop manager, and I have had several meetings with the two people who designed the maestro system, as well as the Head of Giant UK, and Giant Netherlands, and the both tell me that the maestro system is almost identical to the Santa Cruz VPP, and does not bob. So no RP3 shock is needed, that is why it is only spec'd on the top of the range bikes, not on the rest, ther is no need. Take a look at www.suspensionmadeharmonious.com

None of the new Giant range - Trance, Anthem, Reign or Faith - need pro pedal damping, the suspension system is designed not to bob, but if Joe Public seen a £2500 - £3000 top of the range bike without an RP3, the would not buy it.

Hi,

I race a 2003 NRS Team frame, and I would not replace the horst link with the crap bushings. Go to BETD at betd.co.uk and buy an upgrade kit which converts the horst link to cartridge bearings. Much better, and last 10 times longer!
