i'm torn between the be-one nirvana and viper rc1.0.
i can't find much on either on't web, except last year's viper article and a post by a nirvana owner on stw.
ideally £350 would be my limit, but i'm tempted to stretch to £500 as the viper is supposed to be awesome.
so tell me what you think... |

The Electron brand manager sent me this reply to my power output question:
"...the simple answer to your question is that there are so many different ways of measuring light output and such a varying different range of results can be achieved and so we decided not to get them tested."
andy, i used the smarts for pitch-black nightriding with no problems (except the run-time on the lead acid battery not being long enough) and if these are at least equal to and last longer then i'll be one happy bunny. as we all know the sky (or moon) is the limit when it comes to lights but these look like a good trade-off between brightness, run-time and cost. |

myncki, what are they like night-riding?
i used to have a set of 5+10w smarts which only lasted 1.5hrs; these look so much better for budget lights. |

teapot, is that 5w each lamp, or 5w total output?
i've just got a set and the 'under-the-desk-test' looks brighter than that! |
