Strengths: low weight, excelent at reducing trail buzz, strong as or stronger than an alu bar, plenty of room for controls
Weaknesses: cost, can suffer from critical failure needs nore care in fitting, possible long term life problems.
Overall: a realy high quality part from easton (do these guys not dominate anything?) nice and light with excelent comfort factor, a must ave for enduro or long trail riding, the only fault os the possibility of critical failure and long term life.
Overall: running them front and rear with XTR levers. after coming back to "v" brakes after hope disc's, i was quite impressed with the feel and power, both brakes are silent and offer loads of control. previous v-brakes with pivots that i have used have had sloppy pivots but these seem to be fine.
Weaknesses: a little heavier than XT needed new BB tool
Overall: been using the silver ones for a while now so far the finnish looks good. performance, realy stiff with good power transfer even when out of the saddle. not a creak from them (my XT did it badly).
Overall: many changes for this year manely the headset, this year they have added an integral headset which looks very classy. also it now has a disc mount, this is done with the nicest dropouts i have seen for ages, all machined out. the bike rides great with give from the backend it corners well, typical norba angles but just fit a shorter stem and that will sort it. truly the last bike you will need.
Weaknesses: single spring makes the fork get a little out of shape when pushed
Overall: a good budget fork, well sealed long lasting and a little "twangy" but all in all just a damm good fork....and it matches the color of my bike and comes with a pot of grease....NICE.
Overall: a good strong post the clamp is a little large but the biggest problem is that corrosion set in on not my first post but also the replacement! now sitting in the bin.
Strengths: low price, good quality, it realy works
Weaknesses: no enough power or inital bite
Overall: a good allround performer that works well both wet and dry, low price and running costs(pads £10:00) make this a good brake to put on any bike. fairly easy to set up to.
