Overall: Dunno what some of these reviewers are on - these are one of the best levers around. Avid SD's are more adjustable but I'd doubt they would survive hitting a tree @ 20mphish.
These are simple, strong adjustable levers which don't break. I hit a tree at roughly 20mph and bent one lever - however they work 100% still and as they are alu plate am sure I can straighten it without problem. Cast lever's would probably have broken in two.
Weaknesses: Best used with an adjustable brake level ( LX, Speedial etc. ) and decent cables.
Overall: Excellent brake, the negatives are minor and for the money make them the best brakes in existance. Especially when you get em in a sale etc. at some silly price.
Strengths: PLenty of light for offroading Flexible light useage strong - several crashes have failed to damage it.
Weaknesses: low endurance on full 20+5 ( to be expected really ). But for road use except heavy rain the 5 is fine. The 5 is probably rn in heavy rain but I'd rather not take the risk
Overall: Very good top quality lighting set. Very bright, robust, good design and good pattern mean it's extremely good offorad as well as on road.
Strengths: No problems with the crank arms at all. Very good for XC use. Fairly light.
Weaknesses: Rings, the rings are terrible but once replaced with a decent one ( only the 42 tooth went on me ) no problems.
Overall: Very good budget XC chainset. I believe, based on my experience ( over a long time > 12 months - 1000's of miles ) these really are good. No issues beyond wearing out the big ring quicker than a cassette.
