Strengths: Varied trails from gnarly switchbacks, flowing singletrack, northshore like paths along watercourses, rocky drops, shingly descents, 1000m climbs (with option to ride in the van if you want!) to breathtaking views (and in Nov we ended up above the snowline!) For the less confident riders a second guide was laid on to escort them over easier terrain and personalised coaching.
Weaknesses: Time passes too quickly and the trip home comes around far too fast
Overall: What an excellent holiday, looked after to the highest standards, fed and watered then transported over the mountains to ride some fabulous and varied trails. No day was the same and each day was tailored to accomodate everyone. The accomodation is v good and you are made to feel very much at home.
Strengths: The grip in mud is fantastic, I ride the 1.95 Kevlar's at Epping (lots of peaty mud all year), they were recommended and I totally agree. Have ridden through snow at Afan and they were brilliant there too. Light and no pinch flats after 6 months
Weaknesses: Didn't like them on rocks etc at Coed-y, preferred my all rounders there but they are sold as mud tyres and that is exactly what they are good at
