Strengths: Look good they matched my Goodridge hoses.
Weaknesses: 1) Prelube inners rust. 2) Aluminium furells shear off. 3) Seals let in plenty of muck.
Overall: Save your money and buy a Shimano XT set for £7.99 they last longer. Totally dissapointed only had them on about 1 month and saw rust on the cable so replaced with stainless cables, defeats the idea of the prelube core but these shifted 50% better then about 6 month later and noticed the shifing was out of index. Re-adjusted no joy so I took them apart to clean and discovered 3 of the furells had broken (fractured and bent) so they now reside in the bin.
Strengths: Easy to operate clamp mechinism which will fit both seat tube and cross bar it grips frame well with replaceable rubber jaws to minimise frame damage and slipage, Rotateable clamp (360 degree,) Easy to assemble, (all thumb wheels) good paint finish should take some knocks with along with adjustable feet to enable it to be used on a slightly uneven floor £89.99rrp = good VFM
Weaknesses: Not easly foldable/ transportable you have to turn it upside down and remove the rear legs so the front legs can fold up like a mortar launching tube. If you clamp a bike by the seat tube and raise the front beyond horizontal it pulls the stand over i get round this by claming the cross bar which i dont really like doing a crushed seat pin is easy to replace as aposed to a damaged cross bar and my hose/ cables are top tube mounted. And it isnt height adjustable. But some one with a drill can soon sort that although you'd probably invalidate the warenty
Overall: only got it a couple of days ago so its not had any hammer as of yet but seems good for the money compaired to the likes of Park
Strengths: Almost maintinence free, Smooth, plush, seemingly endless amounts of travel, Simple to maintain and strong
Weaknesses: Slight amount of fork flex under heavy braking but nothing to worry about. Adjusting the rebound is a bit of a faf as you need to remove one of the alloy top caps to locate the adjustment rod onto the damping assembely and if you let it go it will vanish into the fork (don't ask me how i know this)but you'll only need to set it once to respond how you like it. And it takes a while to bed in but so do all other Maz forks
Overall: Good fork i now wish id baught the ETA version for hill climbing but all in all the fork is fantastic value its a "short" fork so i didnt' ruin my geometry by going from a 80mm EXR to the 105mm MX comp its far smoother than my old EXR and you get a propper warenty
'IF YOU FANCY REPLACEING THEM AFTER 150 MILES OF ROAD RIDING.'
Strengths: Initally they have good stopping power (refering to stintered pads)
Weaknesses: Poor life expectancy
Overall: Expensive for the amount of life (the land around where i live is flat so long periods of dragging the brakes is not the problem) also the edges have appeared to crumble away and the pad surface seems brittle
Strengths: Stops most punctures such as thorns and small nails What can else can you Say. Also suitable for UST (tubeless) wheels but can be a bit messy and is not re-useable when you change UST tyres
Weaknesses: Plastic valve extractor is not strong enough (i broke the one included in the kit) Only works with Schrada (car type) valves
Overall: Ive not had a puncture in 5 months of useing it so i can't complain
Strengths: Huge strength knocks cheaper D-Locks into next week.
Meets Sold secure five minutes attack test keeps insurance companys happy
Well padded to protect frame
Weaknesses: Frame mount is naff and is unsuited to the diameter of aluminium frame tubing (its too small) and fouls cable routing on my GT Avalanche 0.0 and doesnt feel strong enough for the weight of the lock.
Very Heavy but what do you expect this isnt a £1.99 cable lock
Only Supplied with 2 keys and since it''s a 6 pin tummbler the keys arn''t like the standard squire blanks most key cutters keep on stock. Inserting the U shaped bit into the lock is a bit stiff but drop of oil did the trick
Overall: An ace lock i got mine for £29.99 in Halfords (their mistake at the till) so impressed i went back for another in there 3 for the price of 2 offer. Its an ideal as a "home lock" when you put your bike to bed in the shed. (with floor mounting points) just in case the double & locked alarmed door isnt enough of a deterrent) 2 locks = a professional lock breaker 10 mins+ hastle A better thaught out bracket wouldnt go a miss as too would an extra key or two
Strengths: can help if your bikes nicked to aid tracing the original owner and can reduce insurance premiums
Weaknesses: The chip in the rubber disc is VERY easy to remove I can remove it with a £1.99 comercialy avalible tool in under 30 seconds (ive transfered the chip into 3 bikes to date as proof to this theory) the 'Ultra Destruct' labels fall off in normal use
Overall: Not bad if your bike is recovered and the scrote doesnt know about data tag
Strengths: Saved my life too many times to count have you ever seen a bloke try to open a sun roof with his head?
Weaknesses: The hose is a bit thin mine wore through where it rubs on the steerer tube but managed to strip it down and fix it and the mount isnt the best but one zip tie holds it tight tad expensive.
Overall: Its amusing watching the car drivers looking for what he/she (how P/C)thinks is a truck, and pedestrians giving you support as they think the driver blew at you. Also funny to use against ramblers i said excuse me to a bunch walking down a country road and one smart ars@ asked me why i didn't have a bell and kept walking in the road waited ten seconds one little BLAST and they all scattered as i flew past commenting how old people are so deaf and wouldn't hear a bell.
Overall: brightest light ive seen eclipses my smart led light and my BS approved ever ready lights a good buy exept as every one else says THE BRACKET is naff
