Overall: Both the 03 mech and the previous one works superbly well, far better, and smoother than anything else. I have recently purchased the 03 model and is so light. I used the previous model for 3 years and it never failed me. Its functionality was faultless and remarkably better than anything else. Quite expensive but along with most of the XTR components is well worth the investment because of its operation and reliabilty. They last so much longer than any other components that I have owned.
Strengths: Easy to fit (easier than you think, all the necessary tools will be should be supplied with it (2 special tools))
Weaknesses: none so far
Overall: so light, and transmits power so well. By far the best chainset I have ever owned, even better than the old xtr one, which I have used for the last 3 years.
