'THE BEST FOR MANY YEARS'
Strengths:
predictability, grip, turn in. Dont wear
Weaknesses:
Not made any more
Overall:
Had them on my Hard tail for last 10 years, tread still has life but rubber going off now. Still best tyre I've ever used

'PRETTY DAM GOOD'
Strengths:
Predictability, grip. Not too heavy nor too much rolling resistance on tarmac
Weaknesses:
Not a deep mud tyre, but not that bad either. A great all rounded when damp/wet
Overall:
Swapped to these from IRC Mythos 2.1. No comparison, these actually work. One corner the old tyres always washed out in (Singletrack, greasy shallow mud), these carved and allowed me to take the inside line and actually oversteer.

Much more confidence on wet tarmac especially roundabouts. Not noticable resistant to roll, nor noticably heavy

When they do slide in deep mud they are very predictable. In manyt ways they behave like the old smoke/dart combo on my hardtail but arnt quite as good in deep mud. Oh how I wished they still did that combo

'FAR BETTER OUT THERE'
Strengths:
Lightish and roll very well on Tarmac (as long as its dry and you dont try and corner). Grass and fine gravel are ok. Not to bad in beach like sand
Weaknesses:
Mud, tarmac, corners, damp. Basically any normal UK condition. Fine in a straight line but wash out badly on corners especially if they are even slightly damp. Unpredicatable on tarmac
Overall:
Dont bother. These were fitted on my bike when I got it and I wont ever fit another set. A £10 set of Halfords own brands would have been better. Work better at higher pressures like 60 psi but then corner wash worse

'BRILLIANT'
Strengths:
Know where you are, what your doing, how hard you are working and if you are efficient. Small compact, easy to use. Highly configurable
Weaknesses:
Cost. Cadence sensor can be difficult to fit of rear suspension
Overall:
Very pleased with it. Easy to use and records a lot of data. Coupled with the training software and Motionbased web agents its a full system for navigation and training. You can also download other peoples routes to it for navigation

I have both Heart and cadence sensors. Altitude is a nice feature

'NOT BAD AT ALL'
Strengths:
Easy to fit and set up. Works well and easy to read use. Can add mileage to it if you are upgrading to it on a used bike. backlite works brilliantly at night
Weaknesses:
Battery life not too great (but not bad). Heart sensor needs weting or sweat to get going. Not the most obvious menu system
Overall:
I like mine. particularly like being able to make it beep at me if my heart rate falls out of the zone I choose

WTB Rocket V Comp Saddle

'NOT FOR ME'
Strengths:
Came fitted to My Marin Mount Vision. Durable, doesnt wet or get dirty in mud. very soft
Weaknesses:
Too soft. The padding allowed my bum to sink to deep and put pressure where it shouldnt. Was actaully in pain on every ride after about 3 miles. Was ok sitting but painful to lift off saddle and pain for a day or so afterwards. Very narrow structure under the too soft padding
Overall:
Tried to see if it would break in but gave up after about a 1000 miles on it due to pain. Replaced with Specialised Avatar which is far far better.

'NICE'
Strengths:
Does what it says on the tin. First ride on it was a 6 hour epic across Exmoor in 35C heat on very hard ground and rock. Did not think of bum once on the whole journey and no discomfort during or after ride at all. In short a very comfortable saddle. Easy to move around on and grip
Weaknesses:
Not designed for getting dirty or wet as suede on panels at rear. Was advised by shop (owner has one of these saddles on his tri bike) to mount forward to keep bum at rear and this seems to work
Overall:
Very comfortable, but feels very firm when you first get on it but this is not an issue. Small profile so good for moving about on. Rail flx seems good to take out vibration (But mines on an FS Marin so not an issue). Cheapish price is good to.

Would say more comfortable than my old flite and definatly better than the WTB Race it replaced

'A CHAIN. WEAR ABOUT AVERAGE'
Strengths:
Should work well with my XT stuff. Didnt think it was anything special. Seems to resist rust compared to cheaper SRAM chain on other bike
Weaknesses:
Average wear. due for replacement after 400 miles or wet and mud.
Overall:
Average chain. Nothing special

'BLING, BUT LONG LASTING, NO RUST, SMOOTHER SHIFTING THAN ORI'
Strengths:
Not corroding finish. Much stronger links. Side plates cutaway to help shifting and pretty light
Weaknesses:
More expensive than others
Overall:
Great chain and will definately buy more when it needs replacing. The quick release link is easier to use than the SRAM one as well and seems more secure
