Monachil village is small but has everything you would need and some great wee pubs plus it's close to Granada if you want to head into the city. The house you can stay in owned by the hosts is stunning, loads of room and very comfortable and typically Spanish. We had 4 days of riding, each day was completely different but equally fantastic - fast flowing decents through forests to technical switchbacks and urban riding in Granada. Csilla's sandwiches are amazing - the best i've ever had and a different one each day. We were there in January and had really good weather - clear blue skies and temperatures around 15/16 degrees, perfect for riding. Shaun and Csilla are really friendly and welcoming and make you feel right at home and go out of their way to help you. I would definitely go back and recommend it for anyone as the variety of trails means there is something for everyone. |
