Weaknesses: Battery life.....although its actually good, but I can't think of any others!
Overall: I was probably one of the first to get these lights in Jan this year so now into my second winter with them. The simple ability to change the settings to suit the terrain and speed, means you can conserve the battery for hours on end. You really only need the top setting for the fastest descents, whilst the middle setting is bright enough for most situations. You can put it on the bars or helmet, although you have to be careful ducking under trees as the unit is quite big up there. I'd rate it 9 out of 10.
Weaknesses: not great on tarmac as you feel like you're pedalling up hill permanently! If you hit wet roots at slow speed, forget it!
Overall: I was advised to put this tyre on the back wheel only and keep a Panaracer Fire on the front for downhill stability. I have to say that so far so good. The rear tyre definately cuts deep into the mud and grips!
Strengths: Solid but very light, great brakes, really good ride over every surface. Gears are well spaced and very simple to change. Excellent control on the fast rutted downhills.
Weaknesses: Difficult this, as you would probably need to ride a much more expensive bike to compare with and therefore find fault. I certainly never feel that certain aspects could be improved.
Overall: I traded up from a hardtail and tend to ride over varied terrain and needed a good all rounder. This suits me very well and I find it just so enjoyable to ride. It takes the big bumps with ease and feels like a hard tail on the smooth sections.
