Strengths:
technical, rocky singletrack. downhill singletrack. technical climbs.
this bike rides like a hardtail when you want and is supple when you want. the Fox forks are great, the ride position spot on, nicley stretched out but short enough stem for close control.
the Brain works well in most situations. |

Weaknesses:
Avid Juicy 5's are a pain with no adjustments and too close tolerances. often rub.
rear shock with Brain on 2007 model doesn't transition from firm to soft quick enough at times, though only when in a seated position.
rear shock would be better if you could access brain from cockpit. |

Overall:
I love it! I knew this was the one for me as soon as i got on. I like the more stretched out cross country feel for my riding. i rarely get back ache unlike my old bike and it can bomb downhill.
A bargain of a bike.
would love to upgrade to the 2009 model. |
