Turner 5 Spot Frameset
Posted: 21/04/05
'As Turner claim, the Ultimate Trail bike.'
Strengths:
This truly is a 'do it all' trail bike. Climbs like a mountain goat thanks to the superb 4-bar suspension action which finds traction anywhere. Descends with the best thanks to long and low gait and solid tracking rear end. Totaly sorted 4-bar design eliminates pedal feedback and brake jack giving traction all the way.
Zerk bushings are easy to maintain and pivots super plush with no danger of any lateral movement.
Romic Twin Tube shock is impressive too, though correct spring weight is important.
Weaknesses:
Quite long wheelbase so not too nimble when things get very twisty in the woods.
Overall:
I have ridden this machine all over the UK, in Spain, the Alps, raced it in SSMM and the Dragon Enduro and it consistently amazes me with it's prowess in all areas and riding comfort. I have hucked it 5ft to flat and ridden all day epics on it. This is the Ultimate Trail bike.

BodyFit Intake Race Saddle

'GOOD VALUE, COMFORTABLE PERCH.'
Strengths:
Cheap, pressure relief cut out that works, slim shape enables you to get off the back on steep stuff.
Weaknesses:
Logos wear off after only a few rides, kevlar shoulders get scuffed (but what saddle doesn't?)
Overall:
Reccommended. Comfortable, cheap (to replace after) a crash, looks quite futuristic. What more do you want from a saddle?
