| 'MORE GEARED TO HILL WALKING THAN MTB' |
Strengths: Lots of room inside + space on pack for even more stuff. Side webbing is the best I've seen - very secure. Bladder has no plastic taste. Usual camelbak quality - hardwearing.
Weaknesses: Heavy. Not cheap unless you can get it reduced or through ebay, then it can become a bargin. Probably too big for most MTB trips, and compression isn't as good as on other camelbaks. |
Overall: Ideal for a MTB approach/hill walking trip maybe - certainly enough room for a proper waterproof + all the rest. Or a winter MTB epic / overnight summer trip. Lots and lots of space -so have used this more for hill walking than on the bike. For a more bike specific camelbak, have a look at the Ventoux/TransAlp ?
