Strengths: Price and Power!Great value-I paid £50 an end and they simply cannot be beaten for the price. Braking power is superb and modulation is acceptable.Easy to bleed.
Weaknesses: None-Not bling I suppose.
Overall: A brilliant brake for the money which really powerful and has cheap pads.Modulation is alright for cash.
Power can be boosted to insane amounts with a 203mm rotor but I have one but am not using it at the moment.(not really required!)
Strengths: Cheap-I paid £23 from Merlin Cycles. It was worth the £7 over the M520s I have also.( I needed cleats and another set of pedals so I got these) Light weight compared to the 520s and I could justify the extra cost of the m959s. The weight to price ratio was awful compared to these. They have good mud clearance and are secure when In but easy to clip in and out.
Weaknesses: Hard to think of any but can get a bit rusty if left for a bit-the only real way they show off there made of steel.
Overall: Great improvement over m520s and look better too. Bearings seem good and for the price I paid I simply can't fault them at all!
Strengths: Cheap for what you get. Aero Bladed spokes and sealed bearings are features assosiated with more expensive wheels.Tough and good looking wheel set.Rim tape provided is very good and tyres go onto rims easy.
Weaknesses: Spokes need tighten otherwise they easily go to different tensions. Spokes will be quite expensive to replace if they ever go.weight not the lightest.
Overall: Well priced bit of kit for the budget consious rider who still wants there bike to look good. Cheap and very good value for money. Bladed spokes are ace.
Strengths: Fairly light for the travel, stiff, features such as poploc and floodgate.Air u-turn is useful and air means infinite adjustablity. I like the Mahogany Colour and mine were a bargain for £280.
Weaknesses: Not all will like colour, air abit fiddly albeit very adjustable.Perhaps they could be wind down able to 85-90mm but I'm not really worried about that.
Overall: A great trail biased XC fork. Light enough to race, tough enough to exceed my wildest hucking dreams.A stiff chassis means that your front end feels planted and YOU tell the bike where to go with the shock taking the bumps easily in its stride.
Strengths: Value! Good Strong Frame, Seemingly unbreakable wheels,Deore Drivetrain(although few problems, And Tioga comps Bars, stem, and seat post. Also Crud catcher bolts on frame!
Weaknesses: Wheels quite heavy...Tyres roll rubbish on road (now got Panaracer xc fire pro 2.1s) Also the front mech given me hell and back is playing up a bit. Also just had new cranks as the threads on the old ones got eaten. Forks not good but can easly upgraded.
Overall: Good value for money.Cheap forks let down a great ride. Deore is great when working and 27speed is fantastic. Heavy but weight can be lost.
