Strengths: If you want less faff and more biking this is for you Long days in the hills with amazing trails Great people, Nick v.funny Cheap Holiday Cheap Beer
Weaknesses: I would agree with other people that the accomadation is a bit basic, but you are going on a biking holiday not an exec trip! Makes you want to live in Spain
Overall: Best biking holiday I have ever been on. There have been other bike trips where I have had more of a laugh but thats just luck of the draw sometimes with which group of mates you go with. If you like biking whenever possible you'll love this!
Strengths: Solid levers Simple calipers Stop you nicely Nifty bleed kit Modifying the hose is a piece of cake
Weaknesses: Squeal in wet. Open system a bit fiddly to get levers to bite at same point. Bolts on reservior caps round off far too easily, get new ones at a hardware shop. Bleeding can be messy. Gold end caps look ponsey in my opinion, i would rather just have black :)
Overall: Very nice brakes, shop around and you can get them for under £100 an end. I would reccommend a 180mm at the front and 160mm at the rear.
Strengths: Really nice forks, lots of twiddly knobs, 105mm nice for hardtail, very plush and rugged.
I really like ETA, and the rebound control on the top is welcome.
Weaknesses: Unless you do XC racing or something you can probably get away with MX Pro ETA's or something.
The manual is confusing and in some places completely wrong. It says you can clean under the dust cap, when you actually cant without dismantling the forks.
You need to buy a shock pump to adjust the air preload in the forks, they are about £30.
Overall: Really really nice forks. I bought these on reccomendation from a friend, and I couldnt stretch to fox forks. Again, could have probably been ok with the cheaper MX range, but such is life.
I have only really used them for about 100 miles so far though.
