| 'A STUNNING BIKE WITH A BEAUTIFUL PAINT JOB' | | Strengths: Sorted geometry Great set of components Hayes discs work out of the box TALAS rear shock RockShock Psylo XC U-Turn forks not too heavy good price
| | Weaknesses: a horrible Bontrager saddle, and maybe too many Bonty components | | Overall: Replacing my ageing Marin FRS, this bike is much more responsive to smaller bumps and copes better with the bigger hits. Generally the suspension feels much more under control.
The adjustable front and rear suspension, via the Fox TALAS rear shock and a RockShox Psylo XC fork up front, enable you to really tweak the bike to the type of riding you want to do, whether you are XC riding or bombing downhill. In short travel mode, lowering of the bottom bracket and steepening of the head angle makes for killer climbing, helped by the forks stiffening by 25% when in 80mm setting. A twist of the dials and you are in plush, long travel mode, carving up the twists and turns on your way to the bottom of the hill.
This bike puts a smile on my face everytime I ride it :)
