Overall: I was carefull to set these up as per instructions. For the first few weeks i thought they were the Bee's Knees. However in the space of a week both the front and rear cables developed a split in the reinforced housing. This meant that instead of smooth shifting, the cable housing would just bend. I should have replaced them both after it happened to the first cable, but i chanced it, and the other one failed a week later. This meant i ended up riding an adventure race, with my cable housing patched up with Zip Ties. I can only assume they were both damaged in a crash, but in all my years of playing on bikes I have never had cable housing split before.
Strengths: Looks nice, and i found the shape suited me well.
Weaknesses: Main weakness is 'weakness'. Not as comfortable as other BG saddles i have owned. Managed to bend the saddle rails, although not sure how i managed this! Saddle is not now central on the seatpost.
Strengths: fantastic grip in the mud, yet very little rolling resistance on the hard stuff
Weaknesses: none
Overall: Is it wrong to love a tyre? Because i love this tyre. I use one on the front. Its quite simply the best tyre i have ever owned. First ride on it today and was extremely impressed. I never thought anything could beat the conti verti i have on the back, but those Germans have done it again. God bless 'em
Weaknesses: Poor padding, sore palms after day in the hills. The inside of the finger tips was badly stitched and irritated the ends of my fingers.
Overall: I wanted rid of them after i had ridden with them just the once, but I used them on another three rides, in the hope that i had not just thrown over £20 away. But after that i have just binned them and got some nice Fox gloves (ho ho no pun intended) instead.
