'BAGGY VERSION - GREAT SHORTS, FIT AND CUT ARE SPOT ON.'
Strengths: Cut of these is just right for me, just above my knees. The chamois is the best I have used / sat on by quite a margin - and I am fussy and have tried a few. All day ride comfort on the saddle and off as well. The inner short keeps everything in check and the outer has loads of adjustablity on the legs and waist. The material sits nicely on the saddle, not too grippy nor too slidey and seems to shed water. They look good with the Endura trademark yellow stitching on the outside.
Weaknesses: Enough pockets to keep Fagan happy.
Overall: These have been a few 2 hour rides as well as a 4 hour cycle and I would say they have gone straight in at number one in my shorts collection. Fit and forget with no nappy feeling whatsoever, well put together, stylish. I shall be investing in another pair! Well worth the money.
Strengths: I like the way these things shift. the 1:1 definitely makes a difference.
Weaknesses: cost?
Overall: I changed over to these things because I wanted to try my Tracer with the adjustable geometry without slapping my rear deraileur on the chainstay. Srams stuff allowed me to do just that. It seems to move up or down, prior to finishing the thumb movement. I had XT before and it was never bad or out of adjustment, but I fancied a change. These are working excellently and I am getting used to the thumb movements required to operate these triggers. The matching x9 rear mech works a treat.
They were easy to set up in less than an hour! Once fitted they needed no further adjustments.
'QUALITY SYSTEM, BRIGHT, LIGHTWEIGHT & EASY TO USE.'
Strengths: The system is very easy to use, weight, power, smart charger, charging takes approx 5 hours.
Weaknesses: i suppose they are expensive for torch!
Overall: Bought the Passubio system and a helmet mount from Wiggle ( £225 total ), delivered in a couple of days. Couldn't be bettered. I could not believe how small all the bits seemed. The light although small delivers a powerful beam which can be varied. I use the stock as supplied, high and low beam options 10W equivalent to 16w, and 16W equivalent to 25W. The helmet mount is a joy and the dimmer switch is velcro'd next to the lamp, easy to use, easy to find. The battery ( Camelbak mounted )is just slightly larger than a cigarette packet and weights next to nothing. Smart charger does the biz in 5 hours, run time so far, 2 hours mixing high and low beam, I've never run out! Beam pattern-wise, on dipped, fine for on road and going relatively slowly up steep climbs, on full beam, fantastic, an area of approx 20m in front is completely immersed in bright white light allowing me to ride at full speed on the flat and more importantly on the downs. Bottom line - a good system, worth the money. The light allows me to get and ride when previously, the time and light would stop me, NOT now.
