Strengths: Well built and intermediate level. Great fun and cool seesaw!
Weaknesses: i guess it is for the more daring but with a few trys its all very doable.
Overall: Excellent start to having some decent trails in the south east. Would really be improved if some jumps and drops were introduce into the flow, but it would require making more space as it is all closely packed. It is a must try if you go to ride the single track this is great and to combine the two would be truley canadian! and i am all for that style of riding as flowing trails become really intresting if they have options of ladders and drops etc built in.
Strengths: Size, all weather surface, facilities and location make this a fab place!
Weaknesses: waymarking is in need of improvement but as the trails are yet to open officially (MAY 06)there is still time for this to be improved.
Overall: Myself and a friend drove down to bedgbury from north kent in 40mins straight into the well laid out carpark, paid the £5 fee which really covers the trail costs and upkeep of the site. We had no real expectations of what the trails might be like as there has really been no press coverage or any indepth articles in any of the mainstream mags. But what a suprise!! snaking smooth fast trails!! with excellent all weather stone type surface, allthough in some places the corners were a little sketchy once we'd let some air out of the front tyre we were flying along big grins for the rest of the ride! The layout is in the form of a loop that starts and finishes near the new well endoured visitors centre. So to sumerise it is a great new spot if you love single track as there really isn't anywhere in the south east that will compare to the 2000acre forest and although we didn't find the northshore sections we'll be going back real soon to look and enjoy it again! Highly reccomended. Also good family loop there too and huge adventure play area if your taking the kids.
Strengths: This bike has all the streghts of a bike twice the price and comes reasonbly speced too. Not too heavy to climb and excellent down!
Weaknesses: No real weaknesses. Some lower end spec like the gear levers and front mech but apart from that there's no reason not to buy one! (30lbs bit heavy for some but not too bad at all and the price far out ways the weight)
Overall: What a bike and if you shop around it can be got for a fantastic price! i paid £850 from www.paulscycles.co.uk which is nearly half the original price and so you could always upgrade the bits as you please with the money saved! Get yourself one today :)
Strengths: Unbreakable, looks(Good in Silver)and works well.
Weaknesses: logo comes of shaft after a few rides
Overall: I have used this post now for around 10 months and I have maybe tightened it......never! Really is a great post and takes plently of 'Knocks' so if your not worried about weight then get this post as it will last your a long time.
Weaknesses: Slightly narrrow cross section makes getting larger tyres on a bit tricky. But no major faults!
Overall: A really lovely Rim based on XT disc hubs, db ss spokes neatly put together by merlin cycles. If you want a strong lasting wheel set then these are for you. I use them for XC and lots of singletrack fun including some drops etc and they have caused me any problems yet(12months + of use)
Strengths: Very light + Strong, also has excellent cable routing for discs. comes with replacable mech hanger.
Weaknesses: None Yet!
Overall: I think this frame is a great choice for anyone wanting a fast light xc bike but still strong enough for the odd drop off & jump, and at the price what more could you want... buy it now
Weaknesses: Used it twice and the clamp became loose every five mins, and eventually the bottom plate of the clamp broke at the rear end where the metal is only a few mm think. Shame as price + looks were great
Overall: might be good for road or smooth riding but i would stay clear if your an off roader.
