Strengths: Very strong, stiff and yet light with it. It's happy to jump and drop but still climbs easily. It should last you for many years.
Weaknesses: Yeah, the paint job is not the best. My frame is now 1 year old and looks pretty tired unless polished.
Overall: An awesome freeride / aggresive trail machine. My build has a set of Sherman Flicks, with no geometry problems. It will cope with pretty much anything that is thrown at it, however it is very stiff so it may beat you up in the process - all day rides are pretty tiring.
Strengths: The frame seems bombproof (even with those seat stays) and gives a very smooth ride. Hayes disks are fantastic and the bike does not feel as heavy as the spec would suggest.
Weaknesses: The componentry is functional but not inspiring, gear shifting can grind. The Bonty bits are being replaced quickly.
Overall: This bike encourages you to try lines that may have previously intimidated. It sails over ruts, roots & drops and makes riding a pleasure. The 'basic' 10 has big upgrade potential but will have you grinning from the start. Finishing kit is a little lack lustre but gives you the chance to customise as bits wear out.
