Strengths: Totally direct. Thought that the thumb-thumb would take some getting used to, but great half way through 1st ride
Weaknesses: Price is scary, but it was standard on my bike and I've promised myself not to break it.
Overall: I can't believe it. Twice now I've bought a SRAM equiped bike and got the shop to fit shimano before delivery because I was happy with it. MISTAKE. If i'd just tried SRAM once I'd never had bothered. Feels far more direct, and keeping an extra finger on the bars is no bad thing either
Good level of kit. Maintenence free so far. Reliable brand. Light weight. HANDLES.
Weaknesses: NONE FOUND IN 2 YEARS
Overall: Impossible to replace at the price. Lock out the suspension and you've got a super stiff bike for the road bits. Open it all up (You can do this 'on the fly' in 2 seconds)and it'll take on pretty well anything. I can't think of many 2K bikes that ride like a £1500 hardtail OR a £1500 full sus. So you see, for £500 more than either, you get both. I've had mine for 2 years, ride it hard every weeks. It's been up to it's bars in water and mud, and been cleanedtwice.. Both times with a pressure washer!! Everything works like new.
Overall: Suits my riding down to the ground. Two hours charge, and I can go on a 3 or 4 hour ride. I'll keep in on low output around town, then turn it up on the trails. Very light, and well made. A brilliant all rounder. Only possible improvement in my opinion would be a wider beam, as it only really lights up the trail directly in front of you. Makes a great torch too! In case it hasn't occurred to you yet, the battery is the light! £120? Unbeatable
