Strengths: V small (so small you'll need to put them on your keyring to keep from losing them) bright, easy to put on / off, secure when on, no tools needed. I'd disagree with Papa Dave only that I think you CAN see where you're going (they're no HID's certainly, but enough to illuminate potholes in an unlit sreet).
Weaknesses: None that I can think of.
Overall: I bought them when the wife knicked my main lights for a week. It'll be hard going back to those lights after the simplicity of these ones. They'll stay on my keyring now for spring and summer nights when you stop for that extra beer with the lads, dusk happens while you're not looking and have to cycle home slightly sheepishly in the dark with no lights....
Strengths: I've got a bit of a mixed set, not quite the NS25 but the 5W light is brilliant for standard trails, a 10W on the helmet for seeing into the corners (and looking around at startled badgers) and a 15W on the bars for downhill. Easily ajustable, the thumb switches are ace for max control to save battery power. I normally get 2 hours+ with the 3 lights on 2 sticks. I've replaced one of the bulbs so far, not with the vistalite £15 jobs though. £1.99 from maplin for the same bulb....
Weaknesses: The chargers a bit pap, its about 4.5 hours to charge a stick, but you can also tell as they stay stone cold until they're charged.
Overall: A V good set of lights for the price, I love the flexibility of three lights and haven't had a problem yet.
Strengths: I've got a bit of a mixed set, nearer the NS25 than this, but the 5W light is brilliant for standard trails, a 10W on the helmet for seeing into the corners (and looking around at startled badgers) and a 15W on the bars for downhill. Overall: A V good set of lights for the price(considering I bought the 2nd hand from Dylan who reviewed below). I love the flexibility of three lights and haven't had a problem yet.
Strengths: Easy to fit, my forks don't have a hole in the middle, so was restricted in my choice of guards to those which can also attach to the bridge of the fork (which these do). They go on and off easily enough and keep you mud free.
Weaknesses: A bit flimsy. They waggle around a bit.
Strengths: Apart from the obvious extra space for more information its simple to use and setup, fairly automated and does what its supposed to do!
Weaknesses: The instruction sheets are a bit pap, but its not rocket science, there are only three buttons after all! I got it in the halfords sale for £20 (as they got shot of them all for its replacement) so I can't comment on price. It does take a fair it of bar room, which is becoming a problem as I start to need space for lights etc! All V minor really.
Overall: I've not used any other computers so have little to compare it too, but it does everything I want it too simply and clearly.
Strengths: Completely windproof, keeps your hands nice and warm for both a quick commute and a night out on the trails. They must be fairly breathable as I didn't notice my hands getting sweaty, although they do whiff a bit after a couple of heavy trips out. No problems though cos they wash and dry easily and quickly. The microfleece thumb bit is great for your nose and the palm bits grippy and padded.
Weaknesses: Weird cuff fastener positioning. Not bad or annoying just weird. When you first put them on you can feel the inside of the seams, but you get used to it quickly. A bit pricey at the quoted £32, I found mine under £20 which seems about right.
Overall: I love them as they do exactly what I wanted. Well designed, look nice, keep your hands warm, dry and bramble-scratch free!
Strengths: Good design of guard - long, bulges in the right place and has a joint to give max coverage of the wheel.
Weaknesses: All the above are rendered useless by the attachment. It doesn't hold the guard tigh when its not broken and is weak in several places so will break sooner rather than later...
Strengths: Looks and feels as secure as anything you can buy. Locks quickly and easily (my old lock needed wiggling to get the key out) Sliding keyhole cover, 2 spare keys and a main key with a flashlight are all nice little touchs.
Weaknesses: The bracket on mine didn't really fit the lock. Am awaiting a replacement at the moment
Overall: Good lock, can be picked up for far less than £60 (mine was around £45). Shame I have to carry it in my bag!
Strengths: Cheap (for what you're getting), makes my daily commute something to look forward too rather than have to endure. Also fun to go out for a thrash at the weekend round the local woods
Weaknesses: The grips and caps are fairly loose on mine, the slightest rain has them turning.
Overall: A good bike for someone who wants to get into riding and doesn't yet know how serious they'll be.
