| 'A TRULY COMPLETE MOUNTAIN BIKE HOLIDAY' | | Strengths: For me just going on holiday to Canada was a strong point for this holiday, let alone that the biking is just fantastic! The trails are well designed, maintained and there are plenty of them. I chose to ride a lot of XC outside of the bike park, however the park looked like it had a lot to offer aswell (other guests chose only to ride the park!) The Canadians have catered for all levels of riders in and around Whistler, and as a semi fit XC rider I was more than happy with loads of down hill single track and technical trails. When i was there the weather was great and the trails dry, I was told that even in the wet the trails are extremely ridable, especailly in the park.
Package wise I got what I was promised. Was collected from Vancouver airport in the T2R pick-up, after what can only be describeded as a stunning journey up to Whistler we arrived at a spacious wooden chalet quite close to the centre of town. The chalet was excellent (great value for money), I had a bed in a twin room, breakfast provided, nice lounge and kitchen area, tool area + tools. We rode every day apart from one covering around 150 miles in the week (not including uphill miles in the back of the truck!) with various different guides. | | Weaknesses: last year there was no hot-tub, however I am assured that there'll be one waiting for me when I go back this year! i didnt see any grisleys though...gutted!
At the time of writing this the website www.ticket2ridebc.com was still under construction and not all pacages were uploaded, that said an email provided all the info I wanted on prices for next year. Im told it'll be sorted soon..... | | Overall: Excellent! Cant fault T2R, i'll be back next year. |
