| 'EPIC SINGLETRACK, HELI-DROPS & WHISTLER - NEED I SAY MORE..!' | | Strengths: The fact that Whistler & the surrounds is a one stop shop for all types of riding with an unparalled riding culture. We spent days of our trip up in the Chilcotins riding 'the collective' trails, days being shuttled up 6000ft slick rock chutes in Pemberton & days riding endless freeride man-made trails in Squamish. Where else can you open your door to a Heli-assisted buff singletrack descent - followed by 5 hours of bikepark madness in the summer evenings...the beauty of going with these guys I personally think is the extent of their local trail knowledge (a lot of which is not available via trail maps), their skills clinics which are a definite help (for me a 5ft drop became possible) and the extent to which they can sort out discounts for you on necessities such as bike park passes, their Cove demo fleet, retail items & meals in the pub..!! | | Weaknesses: We could only stay for 2 weeks - at that point you haven't even touched the surface - literally.... | | Overall: Words really do the riding area/culture/lifestyle no justice - imagine if you will the British soap/pub/kebab culture - replace all of the above by a passion for riding - there you have Whistler.
It was more than an eye opener - the guys at t2r were fantastic - whether guiding, instructing or organising...they seemed to know just what would put a smile on our faces...
If you fancy BC - book with these guys... |
