Overall: I would ride without this never had to use it outside the work shop myself but used it to help other less prepared riders. Also use as workshop tool.
Weaknesses: On the front end lacks sence of direction.
Overall: Probably the best rear end mud tyre I have used to date however the front tyre I am not so happy about. Granted the conditions over the last couple of months have been the worst I can remember and the mud in this part of Yorkshire is clay nasty stuff, but when wanting to change direction the front tyre feels like I am riding on ice. But over all I would say there OK (as a rear tyre awsome), I will drop the pressure in the tyres and report back with the results
'CLIMBS LIKE A MOUNTAIN GOAT WITHA ROCKET UP ITS ARSE!'
Strengths: Fantastic frame, ace finish, light weight, top brakes. Lefty fork.......... perfect. No bobbing when climbing.
[Update 06/04/07] Fantastic frame, ace finish, light weight, top brakes. Lefty fork.......... perfect. Little bobbing when climbing.
Weaknesses: Errrr.... non, oh except no bottle mounting points.
[Update 06/04/07] Build quality became an issue, bits falling off too often. Lefty folk good but made weezing noises like an old man.
Overall: Cross country 100% Downhill 95% Climbing 200% looks set it apart from most bikes. But i can not believe how mega fast this bike is. Now go and buy one!
[Update 06/04/07] Good bike, great cross county and handles big stuff no problem. But quality issues......... Handmade In Th e USA yes but but what???????
Strengths: Very able frame, mechanical disc brakes better than V brake and not a million miles behind hydraulic discs. Wheels/ tyres a treat, although soft summer compound wears quickly. Forks better than they have any wright to be!
Weaknesses: Tyre wear, chain set not the best ( but there again I didn't pay for the best) tyres too wide for rims??? oh and as with most bikes at any price; bars too wide, I cut my bars down..... perfect.
Overall: For the money, near perfect. A couple of tweeks is all thats required. I have just bought a second bike for my daughter; nuff said.
