There's less than five weeks to go before the first ever Hit The North 12 hour endurance race in North Manchester, and entries are filling up fast with only a handful of places left - you've got until the 5 July to get your entry in.
The organisers tell us the course is coming along nicely, and is starting to look really good. They've improved the 'flow' in certain sections and so far everyone who has attended a preview ride has been impressed.
Other updates include the news that PowerBar will be on hand with nutrition products with some freebies available too. Main sponsors On-One will of course have a stand with their latest wares on display. Bike washing facilities are being provided by BikeGoo, with their range of lubes 'n' tubes available should your bike need some attention.
In addition to the top-notch catering (you can order your food in advance on the website if you don't want to carry too much cash), there'll be a proper bar with pumps and real beer - opening time is 7pm till late on Saturday.
The organisers say, "After the race the party will be in full swing, so the prize-giving should be a giggle. The prizes on offer include some great stuff from Mike Cookson Cycles, DJ Cycles, Blazing Saddles, The North Face and some truly awesome trophies that we've made ourselves. You've got to see them to believe them. They're definitely unique."
