''Polaris 99.9% on''

Good news for all you 2 day tenters. We've just spoken to Roger Dillon from Polaris who confirmed that the summer Polaris is still on for it's original 7-8th July date.

The venue will almost certainly be the Peak District, although a second site in Kielder is being prepared as a back up in case the F+M situation causes problems.

Those who haven't done the summer event before are reminded that A) the weather is generally a lot better and B) you leave your tent at the start point and then come back to it that night, rather than carting it round with you. This makes it a great event for those unsure about popping their Polaris cherry on the full blown winter versions.

So dig out your camping mats, stoves and stick on beards and get ready to do the map thing.
