More mountain biking in South West and North E

Although we're still shut down tight up here in Yorkshire as FMD still spreads (due - they've finally admitted and you'll no doubt be astonished to learn - to movements of infected animals and equipment by farmers) it's looking more open in the Bristol and Durham areas. Over to you trail pickers;

Bikers in the Bristol Area will be excited to hear that Ashton Court re-opens today, joining Leigh Woods and Norton's Wood in Clevedon, as Bristol's offroad hot trails, ready to ride.

Gordano Valley Mountain Bike Club

More details here thanks to Leighton Rees.

The next round of the Welsh National Mountain bike series is at The Rhondda Heretage Centre (Junction32 M4 then A470 through Pontypridd Sth. Wales) on Sunday 10th June 2001. For further details call Schmoo on 01792 472559 or mail

Good news up in the north east too thanks to Jez at mtbroutes.com who wants you to know that Slaley Forest in Northumberland and Hamsterley Forest in Co. Durham have re-opened.
