All hail the wheel King

Chris King's ultralight, ultra durable, nicest sounding freehub on the planet hubs have been the keystone of many dream custom built wheels since they were introduced. Now you can get a full Chris King wheelset.

The wheels, using Bontrager Valiant rims and 28 spoke front and 32 spoke rear lacings, are pretty much identical to wheels developed by Chris and Keith Bontrager and sold by Trek as Bontrager Race Lites a few years ago. Scoop still bitterly regrets letting Cullen get his hands on a press set, which are still going strong now, despite being the lightest mountain bike wheelset we've ever seen.

The 'classic' wheels are available in standard or disc versions. As usual, Chris King quality doesn't come cheap, prices are $500 stateside, so expect them to be around £500 over here, check www.bromleybike.co.uk for availability details or www.chrisking.com for more wheelset information.
