Mountain biker dies on Whistler Mountain

33-year-old Allen George Moore died last Thursday, 8th August, following a mountain bike accident on Whistler Mountain. Reports suggest that the Canadian was riding alone on one of the many trails within Whistler's mountain bike park when the accident happened. He was found on the mountain by other riders and brought to into town where he died while arrangements were being made to airlift him to Vancouver.

NSMB.com reports that his full-face helmet was completely destroyed in the crash and he had suffered severe head and chest injuries.

This accident is the latest in a long and sobering list of serious injuries sustained by mountain bikers, particularly in North America. Frorider, Tarek Rasouli, recently suffered severe back injuries following a crash filming for Kranked V, and faces a long and uncertain battle to regain the use of his legs.

Our condolences go out to the family of Mr Moore.

Let us not argue today about religion, but instead be kind to one another, even if it is just a bike ...
