Adidas cut Ullrich loose

As if matters could not get any worse for fallen star Jan Ullrich, sports giant Adidas have terminated their sponsorship deal with the German. This heavy blow comes on the back of receiving a six month racing ban for amphetamine abuse in a night club and losing his driving license last month.

The deal was reportedly to be around $293,340 a year and with Ullrich facing the prospect of a wage cut from his Telekom bosses, the 28 year old will need to decide over his future in the coming months.

In other news, Britain's David Millar, has withdrawn from this month's Tour of Denmark. The former yellow jersey holder and Tour stage winner, won the race last year, but has blamed fatigue and on-going chest problems for his absence.
