Winner of the 2000 Three Peaks Cyclocross, Rob Jebb (Ron Hill), won the 2002 event yesterday, beating a strong challenge from Nick Craig (Pertex/Planet-X/On-One).

Craig hadn't competed in the Three Peaks since winning the race eleven years ago but was highly motivated to win. Jebb was always going to be tough to beat, though, with a background in fell running and substantial amounts of mountain bike training behind him (including this year's Transalp multi-day epic thing). And so it proved.

On-One's Brant Richards spent the day standing on various windswept hillsides watching people ride bicycles scarily fast, shouting at his sponsored rider to go faster and boggling at the Royce riders racing on Il Pompino singlespeeds. His pics and race report are here.
