Chase Trails go DH

Did anyone order a berm?

Cannock Chase-based trail building group Chase Trails is extending its reach beyond cross-country singletrack and into the wild and wonderful world of downhill. Cannock Chase had already sprouted an unofficial DH area at Stile Cop, and Chase Trails has gone in to redevelop it and make it into a dedicated course that'll last.

The diggers have been in to establish the structure and the course is now being worked on by a team of volunteers supervised by Chris Derry and Simon Baggott. You know the score by now - they need your help. The first trail building day will be Sunday 17 August from 10am, followed by a bit of test riding on the course. The meeting point is at the Stile Cop car park - visit www.chasetrails.co.uk for more details.

Meanwhile, work on the XC trails continues - the first route, called Follow The Dog for reasons which will doubtless become apparent, is targetted for completion within the next couple of months...
