Warm'n'cosy

We've kind of got used to 'fleece' meaning synthetic polyester fleece, as seen on a million and one warm outdoorsy garments. But Howies's Yurt goes back to basics with natural sheep-derived fleeciness. The Yurt is 100% Merino wool - naturally wicking, warm, feels nice, grows on the back of sheep, not made from oil...

It's not really a technical garment (although there's nothing stopping you riding in it, it's really far too nice to cover in goop...) so we're not going to review it as such. We're just going to say that it looks good, feels great and is lovely and warm. Features are limited to a simple zip at the front so you can get your head in and out.

Super lovely, although not cheap - the Yurt costs £100. More from Howies at www.howies.co.uk.
