Woooooo!

If you feel the need to escape the trick'n'treaters on Hallowe'en night, give Afan Argoed Forest Park MTB ranger Nick Murfin a call on 01639 850564. Tell him that you'd be delighted to pay a fiver for a guided night ride around the Rocky Mountain Penhyddh trail at Afan, with hot soup, drinks and cake at the visitor centre afterwards. In return he might tell you about the special "Ghost Train" descent on the Hidden Valley...

There's only room for 30 riders, so get in quick if you're interested.

In other Welsh trail news, potential visitors to Nant y Arian should be aware that there's a horse enduro on in the forest this weekend - the Summit and Conti Syfydrin trails will be open, just watch out for nags.

Keep an eye on www.mbwales.com for updates.
