Shimano wants you!

As anyone who's been keeping even a third of an eye on the MTB meeja and discussion forums will know, Shimano's Dual Control shift/brake levers are the subject of some controversy. Introduced on XTR in 2003, DC trickles down to XT in '04 and is likely to appear on mid-to-low end groups in the following years.

Now Shimano is giving everyone the opportunity to sound off about DC and other XTR/XT innovations like the Hollowtech II cranks. The company has launched an on-line survey, complete with incentives in the shape of loads of XTR goodies - one lucky participant will receive a completely and utterly complete XTR group with disc brakes, wheels and pedals. Also in the goodie pile are three sets of XTR tubeless wheels, five pairs of SH-M221 race shoes and PD-M959 pedals, ten sets of XTR bike garb (jersey, shorts and gloves) and eight pairs of XTR sunglasses.

So there you go. That all-important URL is surveys.shimano.com.

to which you could answer, something like 'cos you're trying to screw us for every penny we have'
