Trail Break's traditional summer season closer, The South Downs Lemming Trail, is now only a few weeks away - 4/5 September are the dates for your diary. Now in its ninth year, this classic event is the perfect way to wrap up the summer enduro season - 100 miles in total (100k on the first day alone!) of searing climbs, screaming descents and breathtaking views.

The South Downs Way has become an increasingly tempting challenge for for today's breed of enduro rider. The biggest obstacle to tackling it is usually the logistics of a ride with its start and finish 100 miles apart. The Lemming takes the headache out of the ride by supplying all the transport, support, catering and accommodation options you need, so that all you have to think about is the trail.

From a choice of starts (Winchester or the 80 mile option from Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield), your gear is transported by truck to the overnight stop, so all you have to carry is your usual riding stuff. The route is marked out and a series of checkpoints on the way are stocked with snacks and spares, as well as free energy drink and as many freebie bananas as you can munch, courtesy of Fyffes.

The overnight stop at Truleigh Hill offers a number of accommodation options, with the event taking over the whole Youth Hostel for the night. The event is booking up fast, but there are still camping spaces available or you can book yourself into a local B&B.

The two day ride finishes at Beachy Head on Sunday where transport is laid on to take everyone back to the start.

This year Trail Break will be using a new electronic timing systems to keep track of riders on the Trail and give accurate timing splits for everyone on each section of the route.

This could be your last chance for an epic ride before winter takes hold - it would be rude not to!
