We had a great time at this year's Bristol Bike Fest, and happily it'll be back for a fourth running in 2005. Organiser Paul Newman is assembling a range of attractions for the weekend of 11/12 June 2005. Main event is the 12 hour enduro, which'll run from 9am to 9pm next time. The new timings probably mean that you won't need lights, although the heavily-wooded Ashton Court course does get murky quite early. Choose your number of team members from one to four and get going.
In parallel with the enduro will be riding displays from the dirt jumpers and the MAD trials display team, plus bands and DJs supplying musical accompaniment. There'll be catering and a bar for that essential post-race refuelling.
The Sunday sees more traditional XC in the form of a round of the Southern XC series on a slightly shorter course around Ashton Court. The Bike Fest is a growing event but retains a pleasantly low-key atmosphere. We'll see you there...
