 PREPARATION AND TRAINING 18 / 10 / 04

Aston Hill Junior Devo

Aston Hill in Buckinghamshire is well-known as an MTB destination and popular race venue. But the MTB area also plays host to a wide range of skills training.

The Aston Hill Junior Development Programme (or "DeVo" for short) is in its fifth year, offering training for 10-18 year olds in two skill levels.

DeVo1 is the introductory level, aimed at beginner to intermediate level riders aged 10-14. The emphasis is on having fun while picking up essential off-road riding skills. DeVo2 courses are aimed at intermediate to advanced riders aged 12- 18. They're pitched at riders who are either racing or planning to race and the skills covered are geared towards race success.

After DeVo2 there's the possibility of getting selected for the Aston Hill Junior DeVo Team, members of which scored a bunch of race wins at UK events this year.

Courses run on Saturdays during October, November and December, with mid-week courses taking place at half-term. All the dates, details and booking forms are at www.astonhill.com.
